Hand-colored map on paper. Front: small map of of the Ottoman Empire showing areas from present-day Greece to the west to the Arabian Peninsula and Iran to the east. Relief shown pictorially. Title cartouche in lower left corner. Text at head of the map reads: Hondius, his map of the Turkish Empire. English text under the map and on the back. Purchased with funds given in honor of Dr. Richard J. Houk, Professor and Chair of the Department of Geography.
