Description
Two-page spread describing "The Program for Greatness." Text reads: The University’s ten-year Program for Greatness is scheduled for completion in 1973, the 75th anniversary of the school. When announcing plans last November, Father O’Malley explained the purpose, “…to broaden and deepen excellence throughout all divisions.” Divided into two five-year phases, the cost of the program is estimated at $22.1 million. This figure will be divided evenly between physical and academic development. $11.1 million will be allocated to faculty salaries, research support, and distinguished professorship. The dormitories, located on the campus fringe area with adequate off-street parking, will house out-of-town and foreign students. Facilities in the proposed student union will include offices for publications, SAC, as well as a cafeteria and lounges. The auditorium, planned to seat 400 persons, will be accessible to both students and the general public. It faces Fullerton Avenue.
