Star Strategies

John Worsdale's nativity of Napoleon Bonaparte is in response to astrological calculations made earlier that year by Thomas Orger entitled, The nativity of Napoleon Bonapare, Emperor of all the French: calculated by a professor. Worsdale refutes that the prediction of a natural death for Napoleon does not mean that he will succeed.

To reinforce the authenticity of his predictions, Worsdale's Nativity contains tables that first demonstrate how the Napoleon's astrology correlated to past events.

According to Worsdale, the fate of the country of England can also be revealed by the stars.

Still other means were implemented to assist with the war effort. On at least two separate occasions, British subjects took it upon themselves to determine Napoleon’s precise nativity for the purpose of preparing an astrological forecast of when and how he might fall. Bound together in one book, the first horoscope laments that the stars indicate a natural death for the French leader which leaves open the possibility that his military conquests will be successful. The second horoscope takes issue with the first natal calculations. This prediction instead claims that the “Significators in the Heavens” show the “EXALTED, and superior STRENGTH and DIGNITY” of Great Britain.
