Dedication of the John T. Richardson Library

On Sunday, September 20, 1992, the DePaul University Library was dedicated. After various speakers made comments, and His Eminence Joseph Cardinal Bernadin blessed the building, the ribbon cutting ceremony was performed and the new library opened at DePaul University!

On May 17, 1993, the Library was officially given its name, the John T. Richardson Library. From the dedication booklet (pictured at left): "The John T. Richardson Library recognises Rev. John T. Richardson's life-long committment to the univerity and the community. This library is a tribute to his dedication to the student and academic integrity of DePaul University."
