Description

Typed letter from Sr. Helen Prejean to Vernon and Elizabeth Harvey, the parents of Faith Hathaway, the young woman that Robert Lee Willie and Joseph Vaccaro killed. Sr. Helen first met the Harveys during the period that she was visiting Willie. While Vernon and Elizabeth were then, and remained, staunch supporters of the death penalty, Sr. Helen’s relationship with them informed much of her work with murder victims’ families. The letter here mentions the efforts Sr. Helen is making to start a Victims Advocacy Group in Louisiana.
